Air India has optimised its international network to enhance connectivity between the UK, Europe, Australia, and South-East Asia via India, significantly reducing connection times to approximately 2.5 hours. As part of its long-term vision to position India as a global transit hub, the airline has introduced a campaign called ‘Via’ to highlight these improved transfer times and promote India as a premier transit destination.
The airline’s revised schedule now offers one of the fastest travel options between Europe and destinations in Australia and South-East Asia, with well-coordinated connections at Air India’s hubs in Delhi and Mumbai. By leveraging India’s strategic location and world-class airport infrastructure, Air India aims to provide travellers with seamless and efficient one-stop access between the East and West.
Passengers transiting through Delhi’s Terminal 3 and Mumbai’s Terminal 2 benefit from same-terminal transfers, minimising disruptions and enhancing the overall travel experience. These terminals, known for their modern facilities and distinct Indian heritage, offer an effortless transition for international travellers. Business Class passengers, Maharaja Club members, and eligible Star Alliance members can also access exclusive lounge services, ensuring a comfortable and premium stopover experience.
To create awareness about its enhanced connectivity, Air India has launched the ‘Via’ marketing campaign, running until March, targeting UK travellers and showcasing the airline’s expanding network. Flights are now available for booking through Air India’s official website, mobile app, customer service centres, airport offices, and travel agents worldwide.
