Airport Lounge Rules Changing From April 2026.

Airport lounge access benefits in India are set to change from April 2026, as banks revise card reward structures and National Payments Corporation of India updates rules for select RuPay debit cards.

The new changes will impact both debit and credit card users, with several banks expected to reduce or discontinue complimentary lounge visits. In many cases, access will now depend on meeting minimum spending thresholds within a specified period.

This means cardholders may need to spend a certain amount monthly or quarterly to remain eligible for free lounge access, a move aimed at controlling rising costs and limiting misuse of benefits.

Travelers are advised to check updated terms from their banks before planning trips, as these changes could significantly affect airport comfort and travel perks.
