AM Green to Invest Rs 3,000 Crores in SAF Project in Uttar Pradesh.

AM Green has announced plans to develop a Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) project in Uttar Pradesh, with an investment of Rs 3,000 crores. The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Uttar Pradesh to establish the project, aimed at promoting sustainable aviation fuel production in the region.

The agreement was formalized by Anil Chalamalasetty, Founder and Group Chairman of AM Green, and Manoj Kumar Singh, IAS, Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, during the World Economic Forum 2025 held in Davos. The partnership marks a significant step toward India’s push for greener aviation and the broader goal of reducing carbon emissions in the airline industry.

AM Green’s investment will help drive the development of SAF infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh, positioning the state as a key player in India’s sustainable energy transition. SAF is seen as a crucial component in decarbonizing the aviation sector, offering a cleaner alternative to conventional jet fuels. The project also aligns with global efforts to achieve net-zero emissions in the aviation industry by 2050.

This collaboration highlights AM Green’s commitment to sustainability and the potential for India to become a leading hub for SAF production. As the demand for cleaner aviation fuels continues to grow, this project is set to play a crucial role in advancing both India’s green energy goals and the global aviation sector’s sustainability targets.
