Asia’s Largest Noida International Airport Set to Inaugurate Soon.

The Government of India has confirmed that Noida International Airport in Jewar has received its aerodrome licence from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). With this approval, the airport is now poised to begin flight operations within 45 days to two months.

Authorities have started coordinating with airlines to finalise flight schedules and ensure operational readiness. A grand inauguration event is also being planned to formally launch the airport, which is expected to become a major aviation hub in the region.

Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu informed the Rajya Sabha that the DGCA granted the licence after detailed consultations with multiple aviation authorities, including the Airports Authority of India (AAI). The development marks a significant milestone in India’s efforts to expand and modernise its civil aviation infrastructure.

Once operational, the Jewar airport is expected to handle a large volume of domestic and international flights, positioning itself as one of Asia’s largest airports and boosting regional economic growth.
