Delhi Fog Disrupts Travel; Over 300 Flights Delayed.

Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) were engulfed in a thick blanket of fog on Wednesday morning, leading to widespread disruptions in air travel. With visibility at near zero or extremely low levels, over 300 flights were delayed at the city’s airports, significantly affecting both domestic and international travel schedules.

As a result, major airlines including IndiGo, Air India, and SpiceJet issued travel advisories, urging passengers to stay updated on their flight status before heading to the airport. The airlines emphasized the importance of checking for any changes to flight timings and possible delays, as the dense fog severely impacted airport operations.

The thick fog also affected train services, leading to delays in several trains traveling to and from the capital. Airports in Delhi, including Indira Gandhi International Airport, experienced significant congestion as travelers faced long wait times for rescheduled flights.

Authorities and airline officials are closely monitoring the situation, and passengers are advised to arrive at the airport well in advance to account for potential delays. Passengers are also encouraged to stay in touch with airlines for real-time updates and flight status changes.
