Delhi High Court Orders SpiceJet to Pay ₹23 Crore for Non-Payment.

The Delhi High Court has ordered SpiceJet to pay ₹23 crore to a company following the airline’s failure to comply with its previous orders. SpiceJet Chairman and Managing Director, Ajay Singh, appeared before the court on January 16 after being summoned in connection with the non-payment of $6 million owed to the company.

During the hearing, the court expressed its strong disapproval over SpiceJet’s repeated non-compliance with its directives. The airline’s continued failure to settle financial obligations had already resulted in multiple warnings from the court, and this latest instance has escalated concerns regarding the airline’s financial practices.

The court’s order to pay the ₹23 crore is seen as an effort to enforce accountability and ensure that legal obligations are honored. The situation highlights ongoing challenges faced by SpiceJet in managing its financial commitments, and it remains to be seen how the airline will address this issue going forward.
