Eid Airfares Surge Amid Travel Rush.

Airfares have surged sharply ahead of Eid al-Fitr, as increased travel demand and rising fuel costs push ticket prices higher across domestic and international routes.

According to aviation sources, fares witnessed a significant spike during Chand Raat and the peak Eid travel period. Domestic ticket prices rose by nearly 15% to 20% compared to normal days, while in some cases, passengers paid up to 30% more for last-minute bookings.

The sharp increase has been attributed to the festive travel rush, with a large number of passengers flying to their hometowns and popular destinations. At the same time, a recent rise in jet fuel prices has further added pressure on airline operating costs.

Airlines are witnessing strong passenger demand during the festive season, highlighting the continued recovery and growth of the aviation sector, even as travelers face higher ticket prices during peak periods.
