FLY91 to Triple Fleet by 2025, Expanding ATR Aircraft from 2 to 6.

FLY91 (IC), India’s newest regional airline, is set to make a significant mark in the aviation sector with ambitious plans to expand its fleet substantially by the end of the fiscal year 2025. The airline, which has quickly established itself in the regional market, aims to triple its fleet size, a move that underscores its commitment to growing its presence and enhancing regional connectivity.

In an exclusive interview with CNBC-TV18, Manoj Chacko, the Managing Director and CEO of FLY91, revealed the airline’s strategic expansion plans. Currently operating with two ATR aircraft, FLY91 is poised to increase its fleet to six ATRs, marking a pivotal step in its growth trajectory. This expansion is designed to bolster the airline’s operational capacity and improve its service offerings across regional routes.

The decision to focus on the ATR aircraft is driven by their efficiency and suitability for regional flights, which align with FLY91’s operational strategy. The ATR, known for its reliability and performance on shorter regional routes, will enable the airline to serve a broader range of destinations with increased frequency and enhanced service quality.

Manoj Chacko highlighted that this fleet expansion is part of FLY91’s broader vision to become a dominant player in the regional aviation market. By increasing the number of ATR aircraft, the airline aims to improve connectivity between smaller cities and major hubs, catering to the growing demand for regional air travel in India. This move is expected to not only enhance FLY91’s competitive edge but also contribute to the overall growth of regional aviation in the country.

The expansion is also seen as a response to the increasing passenger traffic in regional markets, driven by economic growth and rising travel demand. By scaling up its fleet, FLY91 plans to capitalize on these trends, offering more frequent and reliable flights to underserved and emerging destinations.

The strategic fleet expansion reflects FLY91’s commitment to delivering high-quality regional air travel and positioning itself as a key player in the Indian aviation sector. The airline’s growth plans are expected to bring about significant improvements in regional connectivity and contribute to the overall development of the aviation infrastructure in India.

As FLY91 moves forward with its expansion plans, the industry will be watching closely to see how the airline adapts to the evolving market dynamics and leverages its increased fleet to capture a larger share of the regional air travel market. With Manoj Chacko at the helm, FLY91 is set to embark on an exciting phase of growth, marking its presence as a forward-looking and ambitious regional airline in India’s rapidly expanding aviation landscape.
