Four Flights Cancelled at Chennai Airport Due to Low Passenger Demand.

Four flights were cancelled at Chennai International Airport on March 18 due to a shortage of passengers. The affected flights were scheduled for domestic routes but were called off as low passenger demand made operations unfeasible.

Airport authorities confirmed the cancellations, attributing them to decreased bookings, which led the airlines to suspend these services. While flight cancellations due to operational reasons are not uncommon, passenger shortage is an unusual factor, highlighting shifting travel patterns or lower demand on certain routes.

Despite the cancellations, other flight operations at Chennai International Airport continued without disruption. Passengers affected by the cancelled flights were provided with alternative travel options or refunds as per airline policies.

The cancellations come at a time when the aviation industry is navigating fluctuating passenger demand. Airlines are constantly adjusting schedules to optimize operations and reduce losses due to underbooked flights.
