GE Aerospace has announced a $1 billion investment aimed at increasing the production of commercial and military aircraft engines. The funding will support suppliers and strengthen manufacturing capabilities to meet the growing global demand for aviation engines.
The company said the investment will also help expand production capacity for CFM LEAP engine durability kits. These kits are designed to improve engine reliability and extend time-on-wing performance, allowing engines to remain in service longer before requiring maintenance.
According to GE Aerospace, the move is part of its broader strategy to strengthen the aviation supply chain while ensuring faster deliveries of engines and components for airlines and defense customers worldwide.
The investment highlights the company’s focus on supporting the rapidly recovering aviation industry and improving operational efficiency across both commercial and military aviation sectors.
