Gulf Air Introduces New Changes for India Flights in Summer 2025.

Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain, continues to refine and enhance its India flight network, particularly with changes planned for the summer 2025 season. This comes after the significant adjustments made in the winter 2024 season, where the airline had already implemented notable modifications to its operations. Now, Gulf Air is set to introduce further changes, impacting both reductions and expansions across its routes.

One of the more prominent shifts involves the airline’s decision to end operations to Kozhikode, a key city located along the Malabar coast in Kerala. Known as Calicut, this city has been part of Gulf Air’s network with flights operating four times a week. However, the airline will cease flying to Kozhikode on 28th March 2025. This decision marks a strategic change, particularly as Gulf Air faces competition from Air India Express (AIX), which also operates four weekly flights on the same sector.

The decision to pull out from Kozhikode reflects Gulf Air’s broader approach to optimizing its India network. While some routes are being scaled back, Gulf Air is simultaneously expanding its presence on other Indian routes. These modifications are likely designed to enhance profitability and operational efficiency while still catering to the growing demand for air travel between Bahrain and India.

For the summer of 2025, Gulf Air is focused on refining its offering for travelers, ensuring that it maintains a robust presence in key markets while streamlining operations where necessary. As the airline continues to adjust its flight frequencies and network destinations, passengers traveling between Bahrain and India can expect changes that aim to improve overall service and connectivity.

With these strategic decisions, Gulf Air remains committed to being a significant player in the Indian aviation market, adapting to demand shifts and enhancing the customer experience in the ever-competitive international flight sector.
