India Clears $25 Billion Defence Boost Plan.

India has approved a massive $25 billion defence modernization package aimed at strengthening its military capabilities. The decision was cleared by the Defence Acquisition Council under Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, highlighting the country’s focus on rapid capability enhancement.

A major portion of the package includes the procurement of additional S-400 Triumf systems from Russia, along with advanced drones and new transport aircraft. India has approved five more S-400 units, adding to the earlier 2018 order, further strengthening its air defence shield.

Currently, three S-400 systems are already deployed along sensitive borders, while the remaining two from the previous deal are expected to be delivered soon. The new order will significantly enhance India’s ability to counter aerial threats across multiple fronts.

The move comes amid rising security concerns along borders with China, Pakistan, and Myanmar, and reflects lessons learned from recent conflicts. The package underlines India’s push to modernize its forces and maintain strategic readiness in a rapidly evolving security environment.
