IndiGo Launches Direct Flights from Mumbai to Krabi, Stock Up Nearly 3%.

IndiGo has launched direct flights between Mumbai and Krabi, marking a significant step in expanding its international network. The airline plans to initially operate six flights per week on this route, with intentions to increase the frequency to daily services starting from March 30, 2025. This move comes as part of IndiGo’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the Southeast Asian market, with Krabi becoming its third destination in Thailand, alongside Bangkok and Phuket.

The launch has been well-received, with IndiGo’s stock rising nearly 3% following the announcement. The airline’s expansion into Krabi is expected to boost tourism and business travel between India and Thailand, two key markets for international air travel.

Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed enthusiasm about the new route, stating, “We are extremely pleased to introduce direct flights from Mumbai to Krabi, further strengthening connectivity between India and Thailand.” The airline anticipates that the new service will offer convenient travel options for passengers looking to explore Krabi’s popular beaches, resorts, and cultural attractions.

IndiGo’s growing footprint in the international market is a reflection of the increasing demand for direct connections between India and popular destinations in Southeast Asia. The Mumbai-Krabi route is expected to attract both leisure and business travelers, reinforcing IndiGo’s position as a key player in the low-cost international aviation segment.
