Israel Approves Two New International Airports Plan.

The government has cleared a major proposal to build two new international airports in the north and south to ease pressure on Ben Gurion Airport and boost regional growth. The projects are expected to enhance connectivity, create jobs, and strengthen tourism and infrastructure across the country.

Southern Airport – Ziklag:
The new airport will be developed near the Ziklag archaeological site, close to Rahat, Netivot, and Beersheba, turning the Negev region into a major transport and economic hub.

Northern Airport – Ramat David:
Planned in the north, this facility will serve as a complementary international gateway and improve accessibility for northern cities and surrounding areas.

Economic Growth & Employment:
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the southern airport will significantly boost jobs, support local businesses, and attract new investments.

Infrastructure Development:
The plan includes expansion of road and rail networks, improving passenger movement and logistics connectivity.

Tourism & Industry Support:
Both airports are expected to increase tourist inflow and benefit industries located near the new aviation hubs.
