J&K Court Orders IndiGo Compensation Over Baggage Loss.

A consumer forum in Jammu and Kashmir has directed IndiGo to pay ₹1.19 lakh as compensation to two passengers after their checked-in baggage was lost during their return journey from Saudi Arabia.

The passengers approached the forum after the airline failed to recover their luggage, causing inconvenience and financial loss. The court observed a clear deficiency in service and held the airline responsible for the mishandling of baggage.

The order highlights the accountability of airlines in ensuring safe and reliable baggage handling for passengers. It also reinforces consumer protection laws, ensuring that affected travelers receive fair compensation.

This case serves as a reminder for airlines to strengthen operational standards and customer service practices to prevent similar incidents in the future.
