Lufthansa Adds 1,600 Flights for Summer.

The Lufthansa Group is set to add around 1,600 additional flights for summer 2026, responding to strong leisure and business travel demand across Europe and India. The expansion reflects rising passenger traffic and improved global travel sentiment.

Key route enhancements include Lufthansa services from Frankfurt Airport and Munich Airport to major Indian cities such as Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Bangalore, strengthening connectivity between the regions.

Group airlines including SWISS International Air Lines, Austrian Airlines, and Brussels Airlines are also boosting capacity. Additional flights will operate from Zurich Airport, Vienna International Airport, and Brussels Airport.

The move highlights the group’s strategy to capture growing travel demand while enhancing connectivity between Europe and India, particularly during the peak summer travel season.
