Minor fire reported at Mumbai Airport Terminal 1.

A minor fire broke out at Terminal 1B of Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport on Thursday evening, caused by a suspected short circuit in cable trays and switch boxes. The fire was confined to the ground floor area of the terminal.

Emergency response teams, including the Mumbai Fire Brigade, police, and airport staff, were immediately deployed to control the situation. Additional fire support was called in after initial efforts by airport fire tenders.

Officials confirmed that the fire was quickly brought under control within minutes, and no major damage or injuries were reported. Authorities acted swiftly to prevent the situation from escalating further.

According to airport officials, flight operations remained completely unaffected, ensuring minimal disruption for passengers despite the incident.
