Noida Airport Opens With Fog-Ready Runway.

Noida International Airport is set to begin commercial operations in April 2026, featuring a 3,900-metre runway designed for low-visibility landings and takeoffs. The airport aims to tackle winter fog disruptions while ensuring smooth flight operations throughout the year.

The terminal has been built with a strong focus on passenger convenience, offering a streamlined system that enables check-in within just 10 minutes. This modern infrastructure is expected to handle high passenger volumes efficiently, making it one of India’s most advanced aviation hubs.

Narendra Modi inaugurated the airport in Jewar, Gautam Buddha Nagar, with a walkthrough of the terminal followed by the official launch and public address. He highlighted the airport’s role in boosting regional connectivity and economic growth.

The new airport is expected to ease congestion at Delhi’s existing aviation hubs while strengthening India’s overall aviation network. It marks a major step forward in enhancing infrastructure and supporting the country’s rapidly growing air travel demand.
