Qatar Airways is set to make aviation history as it becomes the first airline in the world to install SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet system on its Airbus A350 aircraft. This milestone comes as the airline wraps up Starlink installations across its Boeing 777 fleet, further cementing its reputation as a leader in next-generation in-flight connectivity.
Operating from its hub at Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar Airways aims to deliver ultra-fast, low-latency internet to passengers, allowing seamless streaming, gaming, video calling, and web browsing at 30,000 feet. The Starlink service promises speeds of up to 350 Mbps per aircraft, significantly enhancing the passenger experience.
The A350 fleet is expected to begin Starlink-enabled operations later this year, marking a significant leap in onboard technology. This move not only makes Qatar Airways the first global carrier to offer Starlink on both Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 aircraft but also showcases its commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.
Qatar Airways has consistently pushed boundaries in aviation, from luxury cabins to award-winning service. With this latest development, the airline continues to set new standards in connectivity, aligning with the growing demand for high-speed, reliable internet access in the skies.
