Surf Air Receives First Four Cessna Grand Caravan EX Aircraft.

Surf Air, a charter and scheduled flight provider based in Los Angeles, has announced the delivery of the first four Cessna Grand Caravan EX aircraft from a large fleet order placed with Textron Aviation. These four aircraft mark the beginning of a significant expansion for the company, with a total of up to 150 Cessna Caravans expected in the fleet.

The Cessna Grand Caravan EX is a popular and versatile single-engine turboprop aircraft known for its reliability, performance, and ability to operate in challenging environments. Surf Air’s new fleet will enhance its regional flight services, providing greater capacity and more flexibility for its growing customer base.

This fleet expansion comes as Surf Air continues to grow its operations and improve connectivity between key regional markets. Of the four new aircraft, two will be financed through operating leases with ITC-AeroLeasing Inc., a Japan-based leasing company that specializes in general and business aviation. Surf Air has a history of partnering with ITC-AeroLeasing Inc. for the financing of its aircraft, further solidifying the relationship between the two companies.

Deanna White, CEO of Surf Air Mobility, expressed enthusiasm about the new additions to the fleet, stating that these aircraft will play a pivotal role in the company’s mission to revolutionize regional air travel. With the first four deliveries now complete, Surf Air is set to take full advantage of the new aircraft to expand its service offerings and improve the overall customer experience.

The order from Textron Aviation includes an initial 100 Cessna Grand Caravans, with options for an additional 50 aircraft. This move highlights Surf Air’s commitment to scaling its operations and growing its fleet to better serve the regional air travel market.
