Turkish Aerospace, Embraer Sign MoU for E2 Aircraft Collaboration.

Turkish Aerospace (TUSAŞ) and Embraer have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore joint production opportunities for the E2 aircraft program in Türkiye. The agreement, announced at the LAAD Defence & Security 2025 event in Rio de Janeiro, marks a strategic collaboration between the two aerospace giants to enhance regional aircraft manufacturing capabilities.

The partnership aims to combine Turkish Aerospace’s expertise in aerostructures and advanced manufacturing with Embraer’s strong global market presence in the regional jet segment. With growing demand for fuel-efficient and next-generation aircraft, the agreement sets the stage for potential industrial collaboration in areas such as research and development, component manufacturing, and final assembly.

The E2 series, Embraer’s latest generation of regional jets, has been gaining traction among airlines looking for cost-effective, eco-friendly aircraft. By involving TUSAŞ in its production, Embraer could expand its supply chain efficiency while supporting Türkiye’s ambitions to strengthen its position in global aerospace manufacturing.

While details of the partnership are yet to be finalized, industry experts see this as a significant step toward deeper cooperation between the two firms. If successful, the agreement could boost Türkiye’s aerospace sector, create high-value jobs, and enhance the country’s role in the global aviation supply chain.
