SpiceJet is set to launch special flights to Prayagraj from four major Indian cities, providing a convenient travel option for millions of pilgrims heading to the Maha Kumbh Mela. Operating between January 12, 2025, and February 28, 2025, these flights mark the airline’s first-ever service to Prayagraj (IXD), Uttar Pradesh, timed to coincide with one of the world’s largest religious gatherings.

The airline will use its Boeing 737-800 aircraft to operate these special flights, ensuring a comfortable and efficient journey for passengers. The flights will connect Prayagraj with key cities, though specific details on the routes are expected to be confirmed soon.

The Maha Kumbh Mela, a significant religious festival held every 12 years, draws millions of devotees who gather to take a holy dip in the sacred rivers. This year’s event is expected to attract a large number of domestic and international pilgrims, and SpiceJet’s new service will play a crucial role in easing travel logistics for these visitors.

Prayagraj is one of India’s most important pilgrimage destinations, and with the addition of these special flights, SpiceJet aims to provide pilgrims with a more convenient and accessible means of travel. The move is expected to ease pressure on other forms of transportation and help manage the large influx of visitors expected during the festival.

This new initiative by SpiceJet aligns with the airline’s broader efforts to cater to specific travel demands, especially during major events like the Maha Kumbh Mela. The special flights will not only enhance connectivity to Prayagraj but also provide a smoother travel experience for millions of pilgrims making their way to one of the most significant religious events in the world.
