The Supreme Court of India has rejected a petition seeking modifications to the preliminary report on the Air India plane crash Ahmedabad 2025 that claimed 270 lives. The plea questioned missing details in the investigation findings.

The petitioner had urged the court to direct authorities to include a detailed time chart of events, particularly focusing on fuel cut-off, engine flameout, and switch transitions. He argued that the report lacked clarity on whether these actions were mechanical or manual.

However, the court declined to intervene, effectively upholding the preliminary findings released by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB). The bench maintained that such technical matters fall within the domain of expert investigation authorities.

The decision underscores judicial restraint in ongoing technical probes, allowing investigators to continue their work without external interference while ensuring due process in determining the exact cause of the crash.
