Alaska Airlines has launched Seattle’s first-ever non-stop flight to Rome, marking a major step in the airline’s expansion into the European market and its evolution as a global carrier.

The new service connects Seattle directly with Rome, offering travelers a faster and more convenient option between the Pacific Northwest and one of Europe’s most popular destinations. This milestone highlights Alaska Airlines’ strategy to strengthen its international network.

The seasonal route will operate daily from April 28 through October 23, catering to peak summer travel demand. The move is expected to attract both leisure and business passengers, boosting tourism and connectivity between the two regions.

With this launch, Alaska Airlines joins the growing list of carriers expanding transatlantic services using efficient aircraft, reflecting rising demand for direct long-haul routes from secondary U.S. hubs.
