Akasa Air reported the sudden death of a pilot during a training session in Bengaluru on Thursday. The captain, aged around 44, suffered a heart attack while attending ground training.

According to the airline, the pilot experienced a medical emergency and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. Despite prompt medical attention, he was declared dead on arrival, leaving colleagues and the aviation community in shock.

In an official statement, Akasa Air expressed deep sorrow over the loss and extended condolences to the pilot’s family, loved ones, and fellow crew members. The airline also assured that it is providing all possible support to the bereaved family during this difficult time.

This incident comes amid growing concern, marking at least the second such case involving an Indian carrier in recent days. Earlier, a pilot from Air India also passed away due to a heart attack while on scheduled rest in Bali.
