Riyadh Air has welcomed its first two Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, marking a major milestone in the airline’s journey toward launching commercial operations. The aircraft arrived in Riyadh after being delivered from Boeing’s production facilities in Charleston and Everett, United States.

In a symbolic and celebratory gesture, the two widebody jets were escorted by the Saudi Falcons aerobatic team as they entered Saudi Arabian airspace before making their arrival at Riyadh. The event highlights the Kingdom’s ambitions to establish Riyadh Air as a leading global carrier.

The arrival of the aircraft comes as Riyadh Air continues preparations for its operational debut. The airline currently holds firm orders for 39 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, with options to acquire an additional 33 aircraft in the future, making it one of the largest Dreamliner customers in the region.

Backed by Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 strategy, Riyadh Air aims to connect the Kingdom with destinations across the globe while supporting tourism, trade, and economic growth. The airline is expected to play a key role in transforming Riyadh into a major international aviation hub.
