An IndiGo flight operating from Patna to Lucknow was reportedly struck by lightning at an altitude of around 17,000 feet while flying through bad weather.
The lightning strike caused damage to the front section of the aircraft, prompting the pilots to carefully manage the situation and proceed with the flight to Lucknow.
Despite the incident, the pilot successfully landed the aircraft at Lucknow Airport, where all passengers were safely evacuated.
No injuries among passengers were reported, while the aircraft is expected to undergo a detailed inspection to assess the damage caused by the lightning strike.
