Thai Airways’ oldest and first Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, registered HS-TQA and named Ongkharak, has been spotted departing Bangkok for Kuala Lumpur on an intra-Asia service.
The aircraft is part of Thai Airways’ fleet of 12 Boeing 787-8s. According to the supplied report, eight of these aircraft joined the fleet this year on lease, reflecting the airline’s continued use of leased aircraft to support its operations.
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner family is known for its fuel efficiency, advanced cabin technology and long-range capabilities. The 787-8 is the smallest variant of the Dreamliner family and is designed to serve both regional and long-haul routes.
The Bangkok–Kuala Lumpur service highlights the aircraft’s role in Thai Airways’ regional network, connecting key destinations across Southeast Asia.
