Adani Defence and Aerospace has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Italian aerospace major Leonardo to manufacture helicopters in India. The partnership aims to develop a full-fledged helicopter manufacturing ecosystem, strengthening India’s defence aviation capabilities under the Make in India initiative.

Indigenisation Push
A strong emphasis will be placed on indigenisation, supporting domestic vendors and reducing reliance on imports.
MRO Facilities
The partnership also includes plans to establish maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facilities in India.
