Adani Group’s Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIAL) is set to raise ₹20,000 crore in the second half of FY26 as part of plans to fund the second phase of its development. This phase will see the expansion of the airport’s greenfield facility, which is expected to be fully operational by 2029.

The Navi Mumbai International Airport, which will serve as the second major aviation hub for India’s commercial capital, Mumbai, is a critical infrastructure project aimed at enhancing the city’s airport capacity to accommodate growing passenger and cargo traffic. The airport is being developed to meet the increasing demand for air travel and to ease congestion at the existing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.

The funds raised will be directed toward the construction and expansion of the airport’s infrastructure, which includes the development of new terminals, runways, and other essential facilities to support international and domestic flight operations. With the second phase of development set to be operational by 2029, NMIAL is poised to play a key role in boosting Mumbai’s position as a global aviation hub.

The Adani Group’s efforts to develop this project align with its broader ambitions to strengthen its presence in the infrastructure sector, particularly in aviation. With its strategic location, the Navi Mumbai International Airport is expected to significantly contribute to the region’s economic growth, enhancing connectivity and facilitating trade, tourism, and investment.

As India’s aviation sector continues to expand, the Navi Mumbai International Airport will be a key player in shaping the future of air travel, providing much-needed capacity to meet the demands of an ever-growing population and global connectivity needs.
