Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), which operates Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), has issued a revised passenger advisory regarding the airspace closure timing during Aero India 2025, set to take place at the Air Force Station Yelahanka. The updated advisory indicates that the airspace closure will be reduced, minimizing the impact on commercial flight operations.
Initially, on January 21, BIAL had announced that there would be airspace closure for several hours each day from February 5 to 14, 2025, potentially causing partial disruption to commercial flights. However, the revised advisory, issued closer to the event, reflects a more refined schedule for the airspace closure, which will now have less of an impact on regular flight operations.
The change in timing comes as part of efforts to ensure minimal inconvenience to passengers while also accommodating the needs of Aero India 2025, one of the largest aerospace exhibitions in the country. With reduced airspace restrictions, KIA aims to maintain smoother air traffic flow while supporting the event’s high-profile demonstrations and displays of military and civilian aircraft.
Passengers traveling to and from Kempegowda International Airport during the event are encouraged to stay updated with the latest advisories from BIAL to ensure a seamless travel experience. The revised advisory aims to provide clarity for travelers and airlines, facilitating better planning during this important aviation event.
