Air India Ranks 4th Globally For On-Time Performance.

Air India has been ranked the 4th most on-time airline in the world for June 2026 by aviation analytics firm Cirium, highlighting the carrier’s improving operational performance and reliability.

According to Cirium’s latest On-Time Performance report, Air India achieved an 86.85% on-time arrival rate across 15,135 tracked flights during the month. The airline also recorded an 86.23% on-time departure rate and an impressive 99.7% completion factor, meaning almost every scheduled flight operated successfully.

The strong performance reflects Air India’s continued investments in network planning, aircraft turnaround efficiency, real-time operational monitoring, and faster decision-making across both domestic and international operations.

Operating through busy hubs like Indira Gandhi International Airport and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, the airline manages significant operational challenges, including airport congestion and air traffic control restrictions.

Air India says it has strengthened contingency planning, cross-functional coordination, and operational flexibility to minimise the impact of weather disruptions, technical issues, and airspace restrictions, helping deliver a more reliable travel experience for passengers.
