Air India, India’s leading global airline, is showcasing its latest Business Class and Premium Economy seats from its retrofitted A320 family aircraft and a virtual reality journey of the state-of-the-art A350 aircraft at South Asia’s Travel & Tourism Exchange (SATTE) 2025. The event is being held from 19 to 21 February 2025 at Yashobhoomi (India International Convention and Expo Centre), New Delhi.
Air India’s booth at the exhibition takes inspiration from the airline’s signature gold window frame, ‘The Vista,’ seamlessly blending aesthetics with immersive digital interactions.
A Showcase of Transformation
At the pavilion, visitors can experience firsthand Air India’s transformation journey with live demonstrations of the Business Class and Premium Economy seats from the newly retrofitted A320 family aircraft. The airline currently offers Premium Economy cabins on more than 80 aircraft operating on domestic and international routes. Additionally, Air India has begun refurbishing 27 of its legacy A320 aircraft, with completion expected by mid-2025. This refurbishment includes new cabins, seats, upholstery, carpets, and the introduction of Premium Economy cabins, expanding the number of aircraft featuring a three-class configuration.
The introduction of Premium Economy aims to provide passengers with a dedicated upscale cabin, extra legroom, enhanced meals, and priority services both on the ground and in-flight.
“As Air India continues its transformation journey to become a world-class global airline with an Indian heart, SATTE 2025 presents an ideal opportunity to showcase our premium offerings while strengthening relationships with travel industry stakeholders worldwide. Through interactive activations and an immersive product display, we offer visitors a glimpse of the new Air India,” said Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial Officer, Air India.
Virtual Reality Experience of the A350
Air India is also featuring a Virtual Reality experience zone, allowing industry professionals and visitors to explore the premium cabins of the airline’s latest A350 aircraft. These aircraft have been strategically deployed on key international routes, including Delhi-London Heathrow, New York (JFK), and Newark.
The A350, featuring a 316-seat three-class cabin configuration, offers wider cabins, larger windows, mood lighting, Wi-Fi connectivity, and advanced inflight entertainment systems, setting a new standard for passenger experience in India’s aviation industry.
Culinary Delights & Loyalty Program Enrollment
In addition to showcasing its premium cabins, Air India is displaying a selection of in-flight meals to highlight its refreshed menus and enhanced onboard dining experience.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to enroll in Maharaja Club, the airline’s newly revamped loyalty program that offers exclusive rewards and privileges. As part of the exhibition, Air India will host a raffle at its booth, where visitors can win curated gift hampers and a complimentary economy class ticket.
Air India’s pavilion at SATTE 2025 embodies its commitment to innovation, passenger comfort, and world-class service, reinforcing its position as a leading global airline.
