Air India and Singapore Airlines have taken a significant step towards deeper collaboration by signing a commercial cooperation framework agreement on January 16, 2026. The move lays the groundwork for a full-scale joint business agreement (JBA) aimed at enhancing connectivity and passenger experience between the two carriers.

  • Agreement Signing
The framework was signed in Mumbai by Air India CEO Campbell Wilson and Singapore Airlines CEO Goh Choon Phong. The agreement is still subject to regulatory approvals before full implementation.
  • Flight Coordination and Booking
Once approved, the airlines plan to coordinate flight schedules and enable passengers to book seamless itineraries across both networks, improving convenience and travel options.
  • Expanded Corporate and Loyalty Benefits
The partnership aims to strengthen cooperation in corporate travel programs and extend enhanced benefits for Maharaja Club and KrisFlyer members, beyond standard Star Alliance perks.
  • Focus on India–Singapore Connectivity
While the initial emphasis is on improving routes between India and Singapore, both carriers are exploring opportunities to extend collaboration to selected international markets.

The expanded cooperation signals a strategic push by both airlines to optimize network connectivity and offer passengers more integrated travel solutions in a competitive aviation landscape.
