AirBaltic Marks 31 Years of Commercial Operations.

Latvian airline airBaltic has marked 31 years since operating its first commercial flight from Riga to Stockholm. The airline began operations with a 33-seat Saab 340 and just four routes.

More than three decades later, airBaltic has expanded its network to over 70 destinations across Europe and beyond and has carried more than 70 million passengers since its establishment.

The milestone highlights the airline’s transformation from a small regional operator into one of the Baltic region’s major carriers, with a significantly larger network and fleet serving passengers across multiple markets.
