About Aircraft

King Air 250 B200GT (VT-SMS) comprises a number of model series that fall into four families: the Model 90 series, Model 100 series (these models comprising the King Air family), Model 200 series and Model 300 series. Production of the Beechcraft Super King Air family (Model 200 and 300) began in 1972 and is still currently active. Several variants of the original Super King Air design exist, including the updated King Air B200. On May 21, 2007, Hawker Beechcraft introduced the Model B200GT, an updated version of the B200.

The B200GT is fitted with two PT6A-52 engines, a new model of PT6 engine. While still rated at 850 shp, the new PT6A-52 improves aircraft performance, allowing for cruise speeds at least 20 knots faster and climb rates several hundred feet per minute higher. The King Air B200GT is equipped with exhaust stacks almost identical to those of the large Model 350, along with cabin sidewalls, tuned dynamic vibration absorbers, and a better sound insulation system. In the cockpit is a fully integrated Collins Pro Line 21 avionics system with a flight management system, Jeppesen electronic approach charts, autopilot, and reduced vertical separation minimum requirements.

One of the Super King Air’s most popular characteristics is its cabin. With in-cabin baggage, an aft private lavatory, and decreased control noise from the propeller, the King Air B200GT provides sufficient comfort for its passengers.
