Alaska Airlines has temporarily banned a Florida evangelist after she allegedly preached to fellow passengers during a departure delay on Flight 708 from Orlando to San Diego.
According to the airline, the passenger’s behavior caused concern among the crew and disrupted other travellers. She was removed from the aircraft before departure for safety reasons and has since been barred from flying with Alaska Airlines and its affiliated carriers, including Hawaiian Airlines and Horizon Air, while the incident remains under review.
Videos shared on social media show the passenger standing in the aisle, addressing fellow travellers and suggesting the flight delay was God’s way of protecting them. As she was escorted off the aircraft, she continued making religious remarks before later describing the incident as “spiritual warfare.”
The evangelist later revealed she had received a notice from the airline confirming her temporary travel ban. She has since posted multiple videos defending her actions, saying she frequently preaches on commercial flights.
The incident has sparked widespread debate online, with many aviation professionals supporting the airline’s decision, arguing that cabin crews must ensure a safe, calm, and respectful environment for all passengers.
