Austin, Texas, is set to receive its first nonstop air link to Paris, with Delta Air Lines expected to announce new service between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.
According to aviation insider JonNYC, the new route is expected to begin in summer 2027, giving passengers in the Texas capital a direct connection to France for the first time. Delta is also expected to announce a new Austin–San Diego route as part of the expansion.
Austin already offers nonstop services to major European destinations such as London and Amsterdam, but Paris has remained one of the notable gaps in its international network.
The route has been discussed for several years, including before the COVID-19 pandemic. Air France was previously considered a likely operator because Paris is its main hub, but Delta’s strong presence in Austin and its close partnership with Air France have made the U.S. carrier a natural choice.
Delta has been significantly expanding its Austin operations, including plans for 15 additional gates, a new Sky Club and a Delta One Lounge. The airline is positioning Austin as an increasingly important international gateway.
If the plans proceed, travelers will be able to fly from Austin to Paris without a connection starting in summer 2027, strengthening the city’s growing international aviation network.
