The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against Captain Anil Gill, the then Director of Flying Training (DFT) at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), along with several companies and other individuals over alleged corruption and criminal conspiracy.
According to a CBI press release, the agency registered the regular case on August 21 under Sections 11 and 12 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, as amended in 2018, along with Section 120B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The case relates to allegations involving corruption and a suspected criminal conspiracy. The CBI has initiated an investigation to examine the alleged activities and the role of the individuals and companies named in the case.
Captain Anil Gill served as the DGCA’s Director of Flying Training, a position responsible for important matters related to flight training and aviation standards in India. The investigation will determine the facts surrounding the allegations and establish whether any offences were committed.
