DGCA Bans MOBIKINS Power Bank on Flights Across India.

India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has directed airlines to prohibit passengers from carrying the MOBIKINS MK-PB-04 power bank on flights to, from and within India, citing potential safety risks.

In a circular dated September 29, the aviation regulator instructed airlines and passengers to ensure that the specified power bank is not carried aboard any flight operating to or from the country or on domestic routes.

The directive follows a recent fire incident involving a passenger’s power bank on an IndiGo flight operating from Delhi to Chennai. The aircraft was diverted to Hyderabad after the device caught fire inside the overhead luggage compartment. The flight landed safely, and no injuries were reported.

The restriction highlights aviation authorities’ concerns about the risks posed by certain battery-powered devices onboard aircraft. Passengers should check airline safety advisories and follow official instructions regarding prohibited items before travelling.
