DGCA Launches Electronic Personnel Licence for Airline Pilots.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has officially launched the Electronic Personnel Licence (EPL) services for the Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) in New Delhi. The EPL provides a secure, electronic version of the ATPL, making it easier to issue, verify, and manage licences.

EPL incorporates International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO)-aligned security features, ensuring authenticity and preventing tampering.

Real-Time Verification:
Airlines and regulators can verify licences instantly, improving efficiency and safety in aviation operations.

The DGCA described the EPL as a key step in strengthening India’s civil aviation regulatory framework through technology.
