Dubai-based aviation giant Emirates has once again secured its position as the world’s most profitable airline, reporting a record-breaking profit of AED 24.4 billion ($6.6 billion USD) for the 2025–26 financial year. The remarkable performance covers the period from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026.
The airline itself contributed AED 22.8 billion in profit before tax, while total group revenue surged to AED 150.5 billion. This growth has been largely driven by strong global demand for premium travel, expanding long-haul connectivity, and Dubai’s continued importance as a major international aviation hub.
Despite challenges such as rising fuel costs, operational disruptions, and regional geopolitical tensions, Emirates maintained strong financial momentum. The airline credited its success to ongoing investments in onboard services, fleet expansion, and a robust global network that continues to attract passengers.
In recognition of this historic achievement, Emirates has announced a generous bonus for its workforce. Employees will receive a bonus equivalent to 20 weeks of pay. The Emirates Group also reported an 8% increase in its global workforce, now exceeding 130,000 employees, reflecting its continued growth and expansion strategy.
