Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has signed a significant interline agreement with Air Peace, West Africa’s largest airline, to enhance connectivity for passengers traveling between the UAE and Nigeria. This partnership will expand Emirates’ reach to 13 additional cities across Nigeria, allowing for a more seamless travel experience with a single ticket and simplified baggage handling.
The new agreement will provide travelers flying from Dubai to Lagos with easy onward connections to cities like Asaba, Akure, Benin City, Calabar, Enugu, Ilorin, Kaduna, and Owerri, which were previously less accessible from Dubai. This improved connectivity will allow passengers to explore more of Nigeria with minimal hassle. Furthermore, corporate travelers will have increased access to key business hubs such as Abuja, Kano, Uyo, Port Harcourt, and Warri. These cities are not only important centers of commerce but also play a pivotal role in one of Africa’s fastest-growing economies.
Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Kazim, expressed his enthusiasm for the new partnership, underscoring Emirates’ longstanding commitment to supporting Nigeria’s tourism, trade, and aviation sectors. “Emirates is a steadfast partner of Nigeria’s tourism, trade and aviation sectors. This partnership with Air Peace is the next step on this journey, bolstering our connectivity and introducing more travel options for corporate, leisure, and travelers visiting friends and family to and from Nigeria,” Kazim said.
Kazim also highlighted the airline’s optimism about the future of the partnership, stating that the two airlines look forward to deepening their collaboration to offer more benefits to their mutual customers. By improving connectivity and streamlining travel for passengers, the agreement reflects the growing economic and cultural ties between Nigeria and the UAE. The partnership is expected to benefit a wide range of travelers, from business professionals and tourists to Nigerians returning to visit friends and family, further strengthening the bilateral trade and tourism relationship between the two nations.
This strategic collaboration between Emirates and Air Peace is set to further enhance the travel experience for those journeying between Nigeria and the UAE, reinforcing both airlines’ dedication to meeting the needs of their passengers while supporting the broader goals of international connectivity and economic growth.
