Hawaiian Airlines has revealed the first of three special Disney-themed aircraft liveries inspired by Moana, celebrating the upcoming release of Disney’s live-action adaptation of the beloved film.
The first design has been applied to an Airbus A321neo, which operates routes between Hawaii, the U.S. West Coast and the Cook Islands. Two additional liveries will debut in July, including one on an Airbus A330 and another on a Boeing 717 serving inter-island routes across Hawaii.
The aircraft feature the slogan “Voyage Beyond the Reef” and showcase popular characters from the film, including Moana, Maui, Heihei, Pua and the Kakamora. The theme extends inside the cabin, where passengers will find Moana-inspired artwork on overhead bins.
Hawaiian Airlines said the partnership reflects the airline’s deep connection to Polynesian voyaging traditions. With nearly a century of service, the carrier continues to celebrate Hawaii’s cultural heritage and the spirit of exploration that inspired generations of Pacific navigators.
