Heavy Rains Flood Ahmedabad Airport.

Torrential monsoon rains battered Ahmedabad, causing severe waterlogging across several parts of the city, including Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. Videos showing rainwater entering sections of the airport terminal quickly went viral on social media, raising concerns about flood management and the city’s infrastructure during heavy rainfall.

Airport authorities, however, clarified that the water accumulation was temporary and was completely cleared within one hour. Officials confirmed that flight operations, aircraft movements, and passenger services continued without disruption, despite the intense downpour.

The airport said teams responded promptly to manage the situation, ensuring normal operations while prioritising passenger safety. Although the visuals attracted widespread attention online, authorities emphasized that the heavy rainfall did not impact scheduled flights or airport operations.
