Hisar Airport Crosses 1,000 Flights Milestone.

Maharaja Agrasen Airport has completed over 1,000 flights within a year of operations, marking a significant milestone in regional connectivity. The airport began services on April 13, 2025, with flights to Ayodhya and New Delhi inaugurated by Narendra Modi.

Operations expanded later with the addition of routes to Jaipur and Chandigarh, bringing the total number of destinations to four. The steady growth reflects increasing demand for regional air travel and improved accessibility from Hisar.

Airport Director OP Saini described the first year as successful, highlighting consistent passenger movement and operational performance. He also confirmed that new routes to Jammu and Ahmedabad are expected to launch from May, further strengthening connectivity.

The airport has also introduced a non-precision runway visual range (RVR) system, allowing aircraft landings with visibility as low as 1,800 metres. This upgrade is expected to improve operational reliability, especially during low-visibility conditions.
