India Aviation Sector Sees Massive Hiring Demand.

India’s aviation sector is set for significant growth, with demand projected for 35,000 pilots and 34,000 technicians over the next decade, according to R. Asokan. The announcement highlights rising career opportunities across the industry.

Speaking at the “Career Counselling Fair’26” by The Hindu Education Plus, Asokan emphasized that aviation remains a key contributor to India’s economy. He noted that demand will surge not just for pilots but also for skilled technicians and ground professionals.

The session, titled “Careers in Aviation: Pathways beyond the cockpit,” focused on expanding career options in the sector. With rapid fleet expansion and increasing air traffic, India’s aviation ecosystem is expected to generate substantial employment opportunities in the coming years.
