Indian Army Eyes Tango Charlie UAV Induction.

The Indian Army is set to strengthen its surveillance capabilities as it prepares to order the advanced Tango Charlie tactical UAV following successful high-altitude trials. The move marks a major step in boosting indigenous defense technology and modern battlefield intelligence systems.

Developed by Cingularity Aerospace, the High-Altitude Long-Endurance (HALE) drone has demonstrated impressive performance during rigorous evaluations. The UAV, also known as “Bravo Tango” in its armed configuration, was previously showcased at Aero India, drawing attention for its advanced capabilities.

The drone successfully completed key trials, including Automatic Take-Off and Landing (ATOL) tests, proving its reliability in challenging high-altitude conditions. These trials are critical for operations in sensitive and mountainous regions where continuous Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) support is essential.

Sources suggest that the Indian Army is now moving towards placing an official order for the system. Once inducted, the Tango Charlie UAV is expected to significantly enhance situational awareness and operational efficiency, while also promoting India’s rapidly growing domestic drone sector.
