The development of Jewar Airport, one of India’s largest infrastructure projects, has reached a significant milestone with the approval of Rs 1296 crore for the displacement and resettlement of approximately 9,000 farmers from five villages. The Uttar Pradesh government has allocated this substantial amount to compensate and relocate farmers from the villages of Rohi, Parohi, Dayanatpur, Ranhera, and Kishorpur. These villages are situated in the Gautam Buddh Nagar district, where the proposed Noida International Airport, commonly referred to as Jewar Airport, is set to be developed.
