Noida International Airport, commonly referred to as Jewar Airport, is set to commence its commercial flight operations on April 17, 2025. As one of India’s most ambitious aviation projects, the airport aims to become a major hub in the northern region, connecting passengers to both domestic and international destinations. In its initial phase, Jewar Airport will cater to 25 domestic cities and three international locations, offering a range of flight services to meet the growing demand for air travel in the region.

The airport’s strategic location in Uttar Pradesh will provide direct connectivity to key Indian cities, boosting both business and tourism in the area. Apart from its passenger services, the airport will also serve as an important cargo hub. Two cargo flights are expected to operate from the airport at its launch, contributing to the region’s economic growth by facilitating trade and transport.

Jewar Airport is poised to ease the pressure on Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, offering an alternative route for passengers and cargo. Its development is part of the government’s broader plan to enhance infrastructure and connectivity in Uttar Pradesh, fostering regional development and positioning the state as a key player in India’s aviation industry. With state-of-the-art facilities, the airport is expected to handle increasing volumes of passengers and cargo in the coming years, positioning itself as a crucial node in both domestic and international air travel networks.
